Our Honda B18C LS/VTEC M-series M12 Extreme Duty head studs are made from the Highest Grade Premium American Alloy that have gone through rigorous heat treatment and testing. With a minimum tensile strength of 230kpsi, these are not prone to hydrogen embrittlement like the L19/H11 material and can be handled without worrying about failures. We use a True-beam design all the way through the length of the stud resulting in better clamping force and torque values (it's not necked-down or undercut like others). "Only settle for the Best!"
The kit includes: Studs, nuts, washers, lube, and instructions.
- Engine block must be re-threaded to accept the larger M12 stud using our custom M11 to M12 transition tap kit (sold separately).
- The cylinder head stud holes must be slightly enlarged to accept the bigger M12 studs (use with OEM dowel pins)
